Contribute to the creation of a portrait
This tool allows to carry out your portraits and is divided into several zones:
1] The working area
It is here that you see all the additions of elements and all the modification which you will make. The button “Validate” makes it possible to make a temporary saving of your realization in progress in the window “Final portrait”. It is ideal if you want to compare a color or a size for an element in particular. The button “Cancel” cancels all the modifications carried out since the last validation. This action thus gives the portrait in the state such as it is in the zone “portrait final”. 2] The final portrait

Several elements composing the face are available here. The head, the hair, eyes, eyebrows, the lashes (girl), nose, the mouth, the beard (boy), the moustache (boy), ears, earrings, glasses, and the hat. For these elements, when you pass the mouse over, a previsualisation is displayed in the working area. One clicks above validates this element. Only one of these elements can be selected at the same time. For the “wrinkles and rings” you can display several of them for the same portrait. For the “other elements of the face” there is no previsualisation, it is necessary to click on the one of your choice, then to position it directly while clicking again in the working area. 4] Choices of the colors
Default colors are at your disposal. While passing the mouse over, you have a previsualisation in the working area. One click let you validate your choice. You can also personalize your color by clicking on “Custom color”. A pallet appears then. To make disappear this pallet once your choice made, you just have to click on the button 'Hide the pallet'. 5] Finalisation
According to the selected element, you have here several options at your disposal. Placement: allows a top to bottom movement or from right to left. Size: allows to modify the size along axis X or Y and of both at the same time by notching the option “Constrain”. Variation: allows to increase or decrease the variation of a symmetrical element. Rotation: allows to carry out a rotation in a direction or the other. -)"
Create a new portrait - A few advices
Here are some advices to create a nice portrait:
- For the beginners, it is easier to make the portrait of a person starting from her true photograph, than to do it from memory.
- I thus advise you to use one to create a resembling portrait: -)
- For that click on “Portrait” in the tool to upload your photo.
- For all the stages which follow, think of well positioning your elements of the face and to modify the length (axis X) and the width (axis Y).
- First of all, start by looking at the shape of the face. Round, oval, angular etc
- Then the hair. It is very important for a good resemblance. Do not forget to personalize them to the maximum by modifying X and Y.
- Change color into choosing a default color, or better a merely adapted color, with the pallet.
- For the eyes. Respect the height of the face strictly. Change the difference between the 2 eyes if necessary.
- Sometimes, this small detail is enough for completely modify the morphology of the face.
- Eyebrows. Position them considering the eyes. Think also about their spacing.
- Nose and ears. Place them considering the height of the eyes.
- The mouth. Preserve well the right distance between the point of the chin and the lower lip.
- Take again all the stages since the beginning to refine your portrait.
- Change the colors, X, Y, positionings and the variations.
- Save the portrait and make comparisons with your modifications.
- Then add elements to precise your result.
- Think about the rings under the eyes, the wrinkles of the face and the naso-genians wrinkles (between nose and chicks).
- The beauty spots, the freckles or any other small detail of the face, will enable you to put the final touch to your portrait.
- Save the portrait, and send the result to the specified person with a short nice message.
